Siva Six (Z-Singer) Hi Rob, thank you for this interview !we had done a couple of demos with "WinterMute" and we had cover The Cure's song "Pornography" for a German Tribute compilation, that was all happening at the end of the 90's, we found out that there was an American band called "Wintermute" so we though we should change our name and avoid all the possible mess sharing a name could have get us into, at the time Evi had sadly left this world we live in...and it was just me and Noid left in the band, so each one of us wrote down some possible names for the band in a piece of paper, we both agreed that Siva Six that I had come up with sounded better than the rest of our alternatives, plus it meant nothing and we liked that a lot, so it became our name since our first album in 2005.
Siva Six (Z-Singer) Ciao Rob, grazie per questa intervista! avevamo fatto un paio di demo con "WinterMute" e avevamo fatto una cover della canzone dei Cure "Pornography" per una German Tribute compilation, tutto stava succedendo alla fine degli anni '90, abbiamo scoperto che esisteva una band americana chiamata "Wintermute", quindi abbiamo pensato di cambiare il nostro nome ed evitare tutti i possibili pasticci in cui la condivisione di un nome avrebbe potuto farci intraprendere, nel momento in cui Evi aveva tristemente lasciato questo mondo che noi viviamo... ed eravamo solo io e Noid a lasciare la band, quindi ognuno di noi ha scritto alcuni possibili nomi per la band su un pezzo di carta, eravamo entrambi d'accordo sul fatto che i Siva Six che avevo inventato suonassero meglio rispetto al resto delle nostre alternative, inoltre non significava nulla e ci è piaciuto molto, quindi è diventato il nostro nome sin dal nostro primo album nel 2005.
(ROB) Your music is always dark and deep in both sound and lyrics, what are the artists you’re inspired by?
(ROB) La tua musica è sempre oscura e profonda sia nel suono che nei testi, a quali artisti ti ispiri?
Siva Six (Z-Singer) yeah...looks like we cant avoid composing odd and obscure songs but honestly its not on purpose, it just pops up naturally, I listen to so much music that at the end I have no idea where my influences are coming of, I love old school dark wave, late 70's early 80's Metal stuff, soundtracks , bands like Ministry, God, Christian Death, Johnnie Cash, 16 horsepower and the list goes on, history ,sci-fi ,art in general, my life experiences , my imagination, all that mixed up, at the end are the fuel of my creativity.
Siva Six (Z-Singer) sì... sembra che non possiamo evitare di comporre canzoni strane e oscure ma onestamente non è apposta, viene fuori in modo naturale, Ascolto così tanta musica che alla fine non ho idea da dove vengano le mie influenze, amo la darkwave della vecchia scuola, roba metal di fine anni '70 primi anni '80, colonne sonore, band come Ministry, God, Christian Death, Johnnie Cash, 16 horsepower e la lista potrebbe continuare, storia, fantascienza, arte in generale, le mie esperienze di vita, la mia immaginazione, tutto ciò che è confuso, alla fine sono il carburante della mia creatività.
(ROB) Who writes the lyrics and where you find your source of inspiration ?
(ROB) Chi scrive i testi e dove trovi la tua fonte di ispirazione?
Siva Six (Z-Singer) I have wrote the lyrics in the last 5 releases we did and a few more tracks in our first 2 album's, I mostly choose a concept and I spin my head around it until I come up with each lyric part that fits, in the previous album the concept was The Apocalypse, in our new album "DeathCult" the concept is about death , spiritual and history books are always a source of inspiration but at the end of the day as I mentioned above life it self is the biggest inspiration.
Siva Six (Z-Singer) Ho scritto i testi nelle ultime 5 uscite che abbiamo fatto e qualche traccia in più nei nostri primi 2 album, scelgo principalmente un concetto e ci giro la testa fino a quando non mi viene in mente ogni parte del testo questo si adatta, nell'album precedente il concetto era The Apocalypse, nel nostro nuovo album "DeathCult" il concetto riguarda la morte, i libri spirituali e di storia sono sempre una fonte di ispirazione ma alla fine della giornata, come ho detto sopra, la vita stessa è la più grande ispirazione.
(ROB) I've always been a huge fan of your band since 2005 and I know that in 2021 has been released your latest album "DeathCult", tell us about your latest work.
(ROB) Sono sempre stato un grande fan della tua band dal 2005 e so che nel 2021 è uscito il tuo ultimo album "DeathCult", parlaci del tuo ultimo lavoro.
Siva Six (Z-Singer) That’s an honour Rob !yeah we have been around for 17 years, "DeathCult" is our latest album, it took us more or less 2 years to compose the tracks in a pre-production level and 1 year of work with our producer Psychon (Septic Flesh / Guitar) that’s 3 years in total, the procedure Was really hard for me mentally and psychologically ,this album honestly pushed my limits further, the team involved in this album is all new comparing to the previous album "Dawn Of Days" , starting with Psychon which did the production/mix/mastering ,the talented Russian artist Elena Hass that took over the artwork and not only....,Vaia an old friend that did the band photos and last but not least Thanos Kalianiotis that is responsible of all the videos that has been released from "DeathCult" so far and for the ones that will follow in 2022, so far we have done videos for the tracks "Ghost Dance" ,"Alpha" ,"December", I can tell you that our new album its the first album we composed in Germany, we did a cover track of Erik Satie's track "Gnossienne No1" we added lyrics and renamed it to "Ghost Dance", its out by Alfa Matrix records world wide although this will be our last album with them since our contract is over

Sì, siamo in giro da 17 anni, "DeathCult" è il nostro ultimo album, ci sono voluti più o meno 2 anni per comporre le tracce in un livello di pre-produzione e 1 anno di lavoro con il nostro produttore Psychon (Septic Flesh / Guitar) sono 3 anni in totale, la procedura è stata davvero dura per me mentalmente e psicologicamente, questo album ha onestamente spinto i miei limiti oltre, il team coinvolto in questo album è tutto nuovo rispetto al precedente album "Dawn Of Days", a cominciare da Psychon che ha fatto la produzione/mix/mastering, la talentuosa artista russa Elena Hass che ha ripreso l'artwork e non solo....,Vaia un vecchio amico che ha fatto le foto della band e ultimo ma non ultimo Thanos Kalianiotis che è responsabile di tutti i video che sono stati rilasciati da "DeathCult" finora e per quelli che seguiranno nel 2022, finora abbiamo realizzato video per i brani "Ghost Dance" , "Alpha" ," December", posso dirvi che il nostro nuovo album è il primo che abbiamo composto in Germania, abbiamo fatto una cover del brano "Gnossienne No1" di Erik Satie, abbiamo aggiunto i testi e l'abbiamo rinominato "Ghost Dance", è uscito per Alfa Matrix Records in tutto il mondo, anche se questo sarà il nostro ultimo album con loro da quando il nostro contratto è scaduto
(ROB) Although your music is very dark and deep you have released so many beautiful videos, what message do you want to leave imprinted on the public with your music ?
(ROB) Anche se la tua musica è molto oscura e profonda, hai pubblicato così tanti bei video, quale messaggio vuoi lasciare impresso al pubblico con la tua musica ?
Siva Six (Z-Singer) Videos are a medium between us and the people, its a way to get in contact with our "world" ,composing music and writing lyrics is a personal need ,we never wanted to walk in anybody’s shoes, we wanted to do it our way, we are original and that makes us proud , people are daydreaming with our music from all around the globe, that’s enough I guess, our message is diversity, originality, hard work and faith ,that’s our fuel, use it for your own goals. I also believe that some of our lyrics can be food for though
Siva Six (Z-Singer) I video sono un mezzo tra noi e le persone, è un modo per entrare in contatto con il nostro "mondo", comporre musica e scrivere testi è un'esigenza personale, non abbiamo mai voluto metterci nei panni di nessuno, noi volevamo farlo a modo nostro, siamo originali e questo ci rende orgogliosi, le persone sognano ad occhi aperti con la nostra musica da tutto il mondo, immagino che sia abbastanza, il nostro messaggio è diversità, originalità, duro lavoro e fede, questo è il nostro carburante, usali per i tuoi obiettivi. Credo anche che alcuni dei nostri testi possano essere spunti di riflessione
(ROB) In your career you have played live in different countries, but which places have really impressed you and where would you like to return soon?
(ROB) Nella tua carriera hai suonato dal vivo in diversi paesi, ma quali luoghi ti hanno davvero colpito e dove vorresti tornare presto?
Siva Six (Z-Singer) We have done around 100 gigs in 18 countries so far, we had amazing nights along our way but definitely our gig in Osaka/Japan was a night to remember, our headline show in 2018 WGT at Moritzbastei Club was a total blast…a unique experience in our career a venue full with 400 fans from all around the world, screaming, dancing and singing along . Infest and English audience were amazing Aswell, great gigs in our country and so much fun along our way all those years, we would definitely like to do shows again in Festivals and Germany
Siva Six (Z-Singer) Finora abbiamo fatto circa 100 concerti in 18 paesi, abbiamo passato serate fantastiche ma sicuramente il nostro concerto a Osaka/Giappone è stata una notte da ricordare, il nostro spettacolo principale nel 2018 WGT al Moritzbastei Club è stato un'esplosione totale... un'esperienza unica nella nostra carriera, un locale pieno di 400 fan da tutto il mondo, che urlano, ballano e cantano insieme. Il pubblico di Infest e inglese è stato fantastico Inoltre, grandi concerti nel nostro paese e così tanto divertimento lungo il nostro cammino in tutti questi anni, ci piacerebbe sicuramente fare di nuovo spettacoli ai festival e in Germania
(ROB) What is your personal opinion regarding the Dark Electro/Industrial/Aggrotech scene in the world and how do you think it will evolve ?
(ROB) Qual è la tua opinione personale riguardo alla scena Dark Electro/Industrial/Aggrotech nel mondo e come pensi che si evolverà ?
Siva Six (Z-Singer) There were and there will always be great bands, the truth is that the scene is not at its best at the moment and its sad that many bands prefer to copy their favourite bands instead of creating a personal style, I have no idea how it will evolve but bands such as Wulfband, 3teeth and other talented musicians are keeping the scene alive
Siva Six (Z-Singer) C'erano e ci saranno sempre grandi band, la verità è che la scena non è delle migliori al momento ed è triste che molte band preferiscano copiare le loro band preferite invece di creare uno stile personale, io non ho idea di come si evolverà, ma band come Wulfband, 3teeth e altri musicisti di talento stanno mantenendo viva la scena
(ROB) Your songs have been remixed by many bands, but which artists would you like to collaborate with soon or return to collaborate? and why ?
(ROB) Le tue canzoni sono state remixate da molte band, ma con quali artisti vorresti collaborare presto o tornare a collaborare? e perché ?
Siva Six (Z-Singer) there has been more than 60 bands remixing our tracks and I am really thankful towards them, its great to hear your music from another perspective, i would like to sing in a song made by Daniel Mayer, we had work together is some 80's covers for a show in Leipzig and it was great, Boris May and I we became friends, I would love to hear him sing in one of our songs
Siva Six (Z-Singer) ci sono state più di 60 band che hanno remixato le nostre tracce e sono davvero grato nei loro confronti, è fantastico ascoltare la tua musica da un'altra prospettiva, mi piacerebbe cantare in una canzone fatta da Daniel Mayer, abbiamo lavorato insieme in alcune cover degli anni '80 per uno spettacolo a Lipsia ed è stato fantastico, Boris May e io siamo diventati amici, mi piacerebbe sentirlo cantare in una delle nostre canzoni
(ROB) About Siva Six, if there are, tell us what are the plans for the near future ?
(ROB) A proposito dei Siva Six, se ci sono, dicci quali sono i piani per il prossimo futuro ?
Siva Six (Z-Singer) Around summer time 2022 our sold out album "Black Will" will be re-printed by advoxya records, we are preparing a limited edition CD release with our Demos & unreleased tracks/remixes, we have start doing demos for our next album, even if we have no idea what the future will bring to us and what our next step will be, also doing gig's its a future plan at the moment, since we are still on Apocalypse mode....
Siva Six (Z-Singer) Intorno all'estate 2022 il nostro album esaurito "Black Will" sarà ristampato da advoxya records, stiamo preparando un'uscita in CD in edizione limitata con le nostre demo e brani/remix inediti, abbiamo iniziato a fare demo per il nostro prossimo album, anche se non abbiamo idea di cosa ci porterà il futuro e quale sarà il nostro prossimo passo, anche fare concerti è un piano futuro al momento, dato che siamo ancora in modalità Apocalisse....
